LUCKNOW, Aug. 9 -- The beat of military drums and patriotic melodies resonated through Janeshwar Mishra Park on Saturday as the Indian Army organised a military band concert as part of preparations for the 80th Independence Day celebrations. The concert, held in the evening at Gate No 2 of the park, featured performances by the Military Band and Pipe Band of the AMC Centre and College and the Military Band of the 11 Gorkha Rifles Regimental Centre (11 GRRC).Around 80 Army personnel took part in the performance, which was witnessed by nearly 800 people. The bands played stirring military tunes and patriotic songs, drawing applause from the audience. Lieutenant General J Debnath, Commandant, AMC Centre and College and OIC Records, inaugurated the programme. Lieutenant Colonel Azad Khan coordinated the event. The concert was organised with the aim of bringing civilians closer to the armed forces and promoting patriotism through music.
