Lucknow, Sept. 21 -- A Bangkok-Delhi IndiGo flight made an emergency landing at Lucknow airport late Saturday night after a passenger suddenly fell ill mid-air, prompting the crew to alert the pilot and seek medical assistance at the nearest suitable airport. IndiGo flight 6E-1054, which departed Bangkok around 8.15pm and was scheduled to reach Delhi at about 11.10pm, was diverted to Lucknow after the passenger's condition deteriorated during the flight, according to airport sources. The cabin crew informed the pilot about the medical emergency. The pilot subsequently contacted Lucknow Air Traffic Control (ATC) and sought permission for an emergency landing. The aircraft landed at Lucknow airport around 11.05pm, sources said. A medical emergency team and ambulance were kept ready at the airport.
