Over 97% appear in CNET-2026
LUCKNOW, June 7 -- The Common Nursing Entrance Test (CNET)-2026 was successfully conducted by the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University (ABVMU), Lucknow, across Uttar Pradesh on Saturday, registering an attendance of more than 97% candidates. University officials said the results are expected to be declared within a week.Dr Amit Devgan, vice chancellor, ABVMU, said to facilitate candidates from remote districts, the university established 307 examination centres across 20 cities. According to the university, a total of 1,48,268 candidates, including 1,07,796 females and 40,472 males, had registered for the entrance test.One of the key highlights of CNET-2026 was the deployment of an AI-based digital surveillance system aimed at ensuring transparency. The candidates were monitored through AI-enabled CCTV cameras and biometric verification systems during the examination process.
The university installed around 9,500 AI-enabled cameras across all centres. These cameras were linked to a central command centre at the university, enabling real-time monitoring and rapid response to any irregularities.htc...
