Over 33K to appear in Prayagraj
PRAYAGRAJ, June 8 -- Around 98,000 candidates have registered in Prayagraj district for the three-day UP Police constable recruitment examination starting across Uttar Pradesh on Monday. The exam will be conducted at 42 centres in the district.
On the first day, 33,288 candidates will appear in the exam in Prayagraj in two shifts. The first shift will be held from 10 am to 12 noon, while the second shift will take place from 3 pm to 5 pm.
To ensure a fair exam, authorities have implemented stringent security measures at all centres. CCTV surveillance has been installed across venues, and separate control rooms have been established at each examination centre. These have been linked to the district administration's control room and the Police Recruitment and Promotion Board for real-time monitoring.
The Special Task Force has been specifically deployed to prevent irregularities during the examination. A dedicated social media monitoring cell has also been activated to track rumours and misleading information, with officials warning of immediate legal action against offenders.
