PRAYAGRAJ, March 16 -- A total of 2,28,442 cases were disposed of during the National Lok Adalat held on Saturday under the aegis of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Prayagraj. The adalat was organised at the district court premises and at all tehsil headquarters across the district, in compliance with the directives of the UP State Legal Services Authority, Lucknow. In the criminal category, 12,149 cases were settled. The family court resolved 79 cases through mutual settlement and conciliation. During the reconciliation process, district judge Satya Prakash Tripathi facilitated the reunion of eight couples who agreed to live together amicably. He also disposed of four civil cases. Among other courts, Ravindra Kumar, Principal Judge of the Family Court, disposed of 34 cases. Parvendra Kumar Sharma, Presiding Officer (North), MACT, settled 265 cases, while Nikunj Mittal, presiding officer (South), MACT, disposed of 108 cases.
