Lucknow, June 10 -- Uttar Pradesh currently has 2,672 judicial officers serving in its subordinate courts against a sanctioned strength of 3,700 posts, according to official data as of July 1, 2025. The state's judicial system is headed by 1,202 officers in the Higher Judicial Service (district and sessions judges and equivalent ranks), while 576 Civil Judges (Senior Division) and 894 Civil Judges (Junior Division) are posted across various districts.. The sanctioned strength comprises 1,691 posts in the Higher Judicial Service, 806 posts of Civil Judge (Senior Division) and 1,203 posts of Civil Judge (Junior Division). The figures also include 212 temporary Fast Track Courts-72 in the Higher Judicial Service cadre, 72 in the Civil Judge (Senior Division) cadre and 68 in the Civil Judge (Junior Division) cadre....
