Oppn echoing narrativesthat weaken country'sposition: BJP MP
Jhansi, June 16 -- Bharatiya Janata Party national general secretary Tarun Chugh on Monday accused Rahul Gandhi, Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, and Akhilesh Yadav, the Samajwadi Party national president, of undermining national interests.
Addressing the media in Jhansi, Chugh, a newly elected Rajya Sabha MP, alleged that while India was responding firmly to terrorism through Operation Sindoor, Opposition leaders were echoing narratives that weakened the country's position. He claimed that Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav were functioning as "toolkits" for forces opposed to India's interests. Expressing confidence in the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and chief minister Yogi Adityanath, Chugh said the people of the country have continued to place their trust in the BJP because of its governance and development-oriented policies.
Highlighting the achievements of the Modi government over the past 12 years, he said the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign had brought about significant social change by encouraging greater participation of women in education, employment and even sectors traditionally dominated by men, including the armed forces.
Chugh also stated that over four crore houses had already been provided to economically weaker families under the PM Awas Yojana, while additional housing targets had been set for the coming years.
He said the Centre's budgetary allocation for agriculture had increased significantly compared to previous years, benefiting farmers through enhanced support and welfare measures....
