Officials reach out to Gen Z through direct interaction in schools
PRAYAGRAJ, Aug. 23 -- To foster direct communication and address student concerns early, officials in Prayagraj have launched a school-level outreach programme engaging directly with the younger generation.
Under the initiative, designated nodal officers and education administrators are visiting government-run schools in their respective jurisdictions. The visits aim to assess basic amenities, review teaching-learning activities, and understand the problems, aspirations and career concerns of students.
Prayagraj district magistrate Manish Kumar Verma directed nodal officers to establish a direct connection with children rather than limiting their visits to routine administrative inspections.
He emphasised motivating students to pursue education with discipline, hard work and sustained effort.
The initiative comes against the backdrop of increasing social media usage among youth to air grievances, as well as sporadic student protests in various parts of the country. Beyond academic support, the integrated program focuses on career guidance, extracurricular opportunities, sports, dialogue sessions and AI-based skills to support overall youth development.
Prayagraj Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA) Anil Kumar announced plans to visit at least 20 schools every month as part of the drive. During a recent visit to the Government Upper Primary School in Bhikhampur village (Kaudhihar block), Kumar interacted with teachers and held a direct dialogue with students regarding their studies and school facilities.
