Nothing beyond their determination
LUCKNOW, April 16 -- A spark in some students who battled odds gave them the edge and made them come out with flying colours in the CBSE class 10 examinations.
Daniya Mohammad Abid, a student of St Anjani's Public School was born with Muscular Dystrophy, which left the lower half of her body paralysed and wheelchair-bound for the rest of her life. She secured 91% marks in Class 10.
"After several schools refused admission, it was St Anjani's Public School and its managing director Taru Saxena who supported me the most. Ahead of my examination I suffered pneumonia which lasted for about two months, leaving me severely ill. I could not even write my pre-Boards but constant support from my teachers and the trust shown by my parents, helped me secure good marks," said Daniya who now aspires to become a civil servant.
Diya Saini, a student of DPS Eldeco, secured 99% marks despite being diagnosed with pilonidal sinus and undergoing surgery that forced her to miss classes. "I was extremely stressed and faced several problems completing my syllabus. However, my teachers, parents and friends supported me the most," said Saini....
