LUCKNOW, April 13 -- Spirited Noida Blasters injected excitement in the UP Pro Handball League on Sunday by pulling off a major upset in a high-voltage, fast-paced encounter. Displaying magnificent form on the fourth day, the Noida Blasters defeated the hitherto unbeaten Kashi Kings by a margin of 36-24. In the day's other matches, the Gorakhpur Rowdies registered their third victory, while the Mathura Braj Stars returned to winning ways by defeating Ghaziabad, at the Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee Multipurpose Hall within the KD Singh 'Babu' Stadium. On Sunday, Noida Blasters players demonstrated aggressive coordination right from the start. Tausif emerged as the top scorer for the winning team with eight goals. Jagmeet scored seven goals, while Mintu and Mankesh contributed six goals each. For Kashi, Mohit scored six goals, while Vimlesh and Vipul netted five goals apiece. Noida established a 15-11 lead in the first half. Although Kashi Kings players executed several impressive moves in an attempt to stage a comeback, victory ultimately remained out of their reach. Dhruv Jadhav of the Noida Blasters was named the 'Most Valuable Player' of the match. Meanwhile, Gorakhpur Rowdies claimed their third victory in the league by defeating the Barbarik Warriors 29-18. Gorakhpur held a 10-5 lead at halftime. Krishan was the top scorer for the team with nine goals, earning him the 'Most Valuable Player' award. For the Barbarik Warriors, Aamir and Anshu scored four goals each. In another match, Mathura Braj Stars secured their second victory by defeating the Ghaziabad Panthers 29-18.
