NCR records 98% growth in scrap disposal revenue
PRAYAGRAJ, Aug. 15 -- North Central Railway (NCR) has recorded a sharp rise in revenue from scrap disposal and sale during the current financial year, generating Rs.201.91 crore by the middle of the second quarter against its annual target of Rs.285 crore, officials said. NCR chief public relations officer (CPRO) Dr Shivam Sharma said the revenue generated so far in 2026-27 was 98.30% higher than the Rs.101.82 crore realised during the corresponding period of 2025-26.
The achievement comes as NCR steps up efforts under the Railway Board's 'Zero Scrap Mission'....
