LUCKNOW, Oct. 13 -- Newly elected Samajwadi Party Rajya Sabha member Dhanraj Parimal Nathwani collected his certificate of election from the Uttar Pradesh Vidhan Bhavan on Monday and reaffirmed his commitment to party chief Akhilesh Yadav's development vision. Nathwani, a Gujarat-based industrialist and director of Reliance New Energy, arrived in Lucknow on a chartered flight. He collected the certificate from the returning officer and left for Gujarat about two hours later. Speaking to the media, Nathwani cited the metro and expressways developed during the SP government's tenure, saying he would work to advance Akhilesh's development agenda in the Upper House. Later, he met Akhilesh at the SP chief's residence, where the two held discussions for nearly an hour before leaving for Delhi. Nathwani was elected unopposed on October 9 to one of Uttar Pradesh's 10 Rajya Sabha seats. The election also saw the unopposed victory of nine other candidates from the BJP and SP (eight from the BJP and two from the SP, including senior leader Ram Gopal Yadav)....
