Lucknow, Aug. 1 -- The Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd (UPPCL) will organise Special Electricity Consumer Resolution Camps across the state from August 1 to August 31 to provide speedy and transparent redressal of electricity-related grievances. UPPCL chairman and additional chief secretary (Energy) Ashish Kumar Goyal said the month-long camps would be held at the division, sub-division and other offices of all power distribution companies to ensure time-bound resolution of consumer complaints. The camps will address issues such as bill revision, replacement of faulty meters, load enhancement, new connections, tariff changes, bill payment disputes, updating mobile numbers and email IDs, and complaints related to the UPPCL Smart App. Every complaint received at the camps will be registered through the 1912 helpline, and consumers will also be able to lodge grievances through the 1912 helpline and the WhatsApp chatbot without visiting the camps. Bill revision cases will be processed through the Bill Revision Information Memo (BRIM) system to ensure transparency.
