LUCKNOW, Aug. 7 -- Graduating cadets of the College of Nursing, Command Hospital, Central Command, were commissioned as officers of the Military Nursing Service (MNS) during a ceremonial passing-out event held at Lucknow Cantonment on Thursday. The commissioning ceremony marked the induction of the nursing graduates into the Armed Forces Medical Services after completing their academic training, clinical education and military instruction. The event was attended by Lt Gen J Debnath, Commandant of the AMC Centre and College and Officer-in-Charge of AMC Records, who was the chief guest. Senior Army officers, faculty members, alumni and family members of the graduating cadets were also present. During the ceremony, the newly commissioned officers took the Professional Oath administered by Brig Parveen Rani of Military Nursing Service, Headquarters Central Command. Addressing the officers, Lt Gen Debnath said the Military Nursing Service plays a key role in strengthening the healthcare capabilities and operational preparedness of the Armed Forces.
