LUCKNOW, Oct. 1 -- A drunken quarrel allegedly over repeated demands for money to buy liquor turned fatal when a 37-year-old daily-wage labourer pushed his co-worker off a canal bridge in Lucknow, police said on Wednesday. The body was later recovered from neighbouring Rae Bareli. The accused, Umesh Kumar Verma alias Soni Verma, was arrested by Sushant Golf City police nearly two weeks after 34-year-old Sujeet Yadav went missing from his home on September 13. ADCP South Vasanth Rallapalli said Sujeet had allegedly been repeatedly asking Umesh for money to buy alcohol and abusing him, leading to a dispute between the two. On the night of September 13, the two again had a confrontation near Ahmamau crossing while allegedly drunk. Umesh allegedly told police that he was enraged and decided to "teach Sujeet a lesson"....
