LUCKNOW, May 8 -- A man allegedly shot himself in Lucknow's Aliganj area late Thursday late night at around 10:35 pm, prompting police to launch an investigation into the incident. Police suspect a possible family dispute behind the extreme step. The man, aged around 40 years old, allegedly shot himself in the Sector-G locality. Police received information about the incident through Dial 112 and immediately rushed to the spot. The family was not answering calls from police officials. The deceased was an advocate, stated a police official statement. Dhruv Kumar, Station House Officer (SHO) of Aliganj police station, said the family had already shifted the man to hospital before the police team arrived. The man has been declared dead at the trauma centre, confirmed an official police statement. "We are investigating the matter from all angles.
