LUCKNOW, Sept. 30 -- Police recovered the body of an unidentified man, aged around 45, from a canal near Casa Green crossing in Ashiyana on Tuesday. Police received information about the body around 11am and reached the spot to retrieve it from the canal. Police said the body appeared to be 2-3 days old. The deceased could not be identified immediately. Police conducted the inquest and sent the body to the mortuary for preservation and identification. Efforts are underway to ascertain his identity and address. A 52-year-old DCM driver died after his vehicle allegedly collided with a trailer in Ahmamau on Sultanpur Road in Sushant Golf City around 12.39am on Tuesday. Police identified the deceased as Netrapal Singh, a resident of Ahmamau. "The trailer involved in the accident was not found at the spot, and police are trying to trace it. The damaged DCM was removed with a heavy crane to restore traffic movement," police statement read. A 25-year-old tractor driver was found dead outside a house around 300 metres from his home in Rahimabad on Tuesday morning, with burn marks on the soles of his feet, prompting police to launch an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death. The deceased was identified as Sachin Yadav alias Raja, son of Medi Lal Yadav, a resident of Rahimabad. Police said a local resident, Ramesh, spotted Sachin lying near the wall outside his house around 5am on Tuesday and alerted his family and the police.
