LUCKNOW, Aug. 30 -- The body of a 25-year-old man was found hanging from the ceiling fan at his residence in Faridinagar under Dubagga police station on Friday, police said. Dubagga police station inspector Shrikant Rai said it appeared to be a case of suicide, though the reason for the death had not yet been ascertained. No family member has made any allegation against anyone, he added. The man, a native of Barabanki, had a love marriage with a Gomti Nagar woman around three years ago and the couple had been living together in Faridinagar since then. According to police and family members, his wife had gone to her parental home on Wednesday. On Friday, her husband's birthday, she returned with a cake and knocked on the door several times but received no response. She then called neighbours for help. Later, she found her husband's body hanging, police said.
