Meerut, Oct. 1 -- In Badaun district, a man allegedly murdered his wife with a sharp-edged weapon following a prolonged domestic dispute. The local police have taken the accused into custody, and an investigation into the matter is ongoing. The incident occurred on Tuesday evening. The accused, identified as Ashish, a resident of Bihat village, had been experiencing continuous domestic arguments with his 36-year-old wife, Mohini. On Tuesday night, a fresh altercation erupted between the couple. As the argument escalated, Ashish reportedly attacked Mohini with a sharp-edged object. She sustained critical, fatal injuries and died on the spot. The commotion alerted the family members and neighboring residents, who quickly rushed to the scene. Upon receiving the alert, police units along with a forensic team arrived at the residence during the night to collect necessary physical evidence. Family members revealed that the couple had a love marriage 14 years ago. They had four children-two sons and two daughters.
