LUCKNOW, May 23 -- A 28-year-old man drowned while bathing in Indira canal under the BBD police station area on Friday afternoon, police said. According to police, the incident occurred around 12:30 pm. Soon after receiving information, the station in-charge and police personnel rushed to the spot. The man identified as Suraj Kumar, son of Ram Swaroop, a resident of Saraisheikh area under the BBD police station, was breathing when pulled from the canal, they added. However, he was declared dead at Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences. Later, the body was sent for a post-mortem examination, they said....
