Man dies after scissor attack over Ludo game
LUCKNOW, Oct. 4 -- A 25-year-old man died during treatment after allegedly being attacked with scissors following a dispute with his associate while playing Ludo under the Purnia flyover in Aliganj on Saturday evening, police said.
According to police, Rahul Awasthi, a resident of Gairoli village in Sitapur who worked as a loader, had an argument with his associate, Pradeep, a resident of Naubasta under Madiyaon police station.
"During the altercation, Pradeep allegedly picked up a pair of scissors from a nearby shop and attacked Awasthi," said DCP (North) Amit K Anand.
Police received information about the assault from the traffic control room around 5.51pm and reached the spot. Awasthi was initially taken to Wagha Hospital and was later shifted to KGMU by his family for treatment, where he died.
Pradeep has been taken into custody and is being questioned, DCP Amit K Anand said. Police said a case would be registered on the basis of a complaint from Awasthi's family, following which further legal action would be taken....
