VARANASI, May 14 -- A team of Maharashtra government officials from Trimbakeshwar, Nashik, recently visited Varanasi to study the crowd and facilities management system at the Baba Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple (Kashi Vishwanath Dham). The visit is a key step in their preparations to organise the Simhastha Kumbh Mela, scheduled for 2027 on the banks of the Godavari river in Trimbakeshwar. The delegation, comprising officials from Trimbakeshwar, examined various management aspects, including crowd control, queue management and facilities provided to pilgrims, with the aim of implementing a similar system for the upcoming Kumbh. A senior official from the Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust briefed the team on the entire system and how it was implemented smoothly in phases. Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust's chief executive officer, Vishwa Bhushan, confirmed the visit. "Officials from Trimbakeshwar, Nashik, had recently conducted a study of the management systems at Baba Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham," he stated. However, Bhushan clarified that no formal request for assistance has been submitted yet. "As of now, however, no formal proposal has been officially received by the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust or Shri Kashi Vishwanath Special Area Development Authority from either the Government of Maharashtra or the Trimbakeshwar Temple Administration," he added....
