LUCKNOW, May 25 -- Lucknow police have arrested nine more accused in connection with a violent late-night attack and vandalism incident in the Gosaiinganj area, where a group allegedly barged into a house and damaged several vehicles parked outside. Police described the accused as members of a "Gujjar Gang" allegedly involved in the planned attack carried out on the night of May 19. An FIR was registered on May 20 after the complainant alleged that around 25 to 30 men arrived in two pickup vehicles and another four-wheeler armed with sticks, rods, and other objects. According to police, the group allegedly vandalised two high-end motorcycles and a car parked outside the complainant's residence. When the family objected, the accused allegedly threatened them with dire consequences and chased them. The case was registered under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita pertaining to rioting, assault, criminal intimidation, and damage to property. Gosaiganj station house officer (SHO) DK Singh said, "Two teams were formed to identify and arrest those involved. Earlier, on May 21, police had arrested a named accused, Azad Rawat, and sent him to jail. Acting on informer inputs and local surveillance, police on Sunday arrested nine more accused linked to the case." Those arrested include Jwala Rawat, Saurabh alias Golu, Sanket alias Lavkush, Mannu alias Manno, Sandeep, Neeraj, Ankit, Shiva Rawat, and Shiv Balak.
