LUCKNOW, July 1 -- The Lucknow University will strengthen industry-oriented education and improve student employability through a collaboration with the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology, NIELIT. LU vice-chancellor Prof JP Saini said the partnership aims to build long-term collaboration in academic excellence, skill development, faculty development, and capacity building in emerging technologies. As part of the collaboration, NIELIT's NCVET-approved and NSQF-aligned courses will be made available to students of Lucknow University and its affiliated colleges. These can be integrated as electives, value-added, or skill enhancement courses in line with NEP 2020 and the Academic Bank of Credits framework. "This collaboration will significantly enhance students' employability and digital competencies by integrating nationally recognised skill-based programmes into the university's academic system. It aligns with the spirit of NEP-2020 and will prepare students for the changing needs of industry and the digital economy," said Saini.
