Lt Gen Aujla reviews tech roadmap at 509 Army Base Workshop
Agra, June 29 -- Lieutenant general Amardeep Singh Aujla, accompanied by Lt Gen Rajiv K Sahni, visited the 509 Army Base Workshop in Agra to review the roadmap for technology infusion in electronics.
A press note issued by the 509 Army Base Workshop stated that every Army Base Workshop serves as a unique facility for the Indian Army, ensuring the mission readiness of weapon systems and equipment platforms through recapitalisation and upgrades. The 509 Army Base Workshop in Agra is the centre of excellence for optoelectronics for the Indian Army and maintains a variety of optical sights, radars and telecommunication equipment.
The core focus of the initiative was to enhance the workshop's production capabilities while incorporating industry-best practices and addressing critical challenges, the press release stated.
