LSG marathon marks Women's Day and cheers for team India
India, March 9 -- Held under the tagline Ek Shehar. Ek Team. Ek Run. and marking a special message of empowerment and participation in celebration of International Women's Day, the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) organised a multi-category marathon, LSG Run - Run for India, on Sunday, coinciding with the T20 World Cup Final. The event promoted the spirit of fitness and brought together 2,500 people from across the city. Speaking to us, Pawan Singh, a member of the LSG brigade, said: "The marathon featured three categories: the 10K Lucknow Legends Run that was flagged off six in the morning, the 5K Blue Brigade Run, along with the 3K Powerplay Run for kids and senior citizens." The event started and concluded at the 1090 Crossing, with all participants sporting the brand new Lucknow Super Giants jersey. The prize distribution ceremony followed, with finishers receiving medals and certificates. A significant number of women participants were also part of the run, marking International Women's Day as they celebrated fitness and sportsmanship.
