LUCKNOW, Oct. 25 -- The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) plans to develop a musical fountain at Lohia Park and a water-based light-and-sound show at the Gomti Riverfront to enhance the city's recreational attractions and showcase its cultural heritage. The fountain, featuring colourful lights and music, will come up alongside a children's play area equipped with multi-activity swings. The authority aims to make the fountain operational by December. The project forms part of the authority's efforts to improve public spaces and enhance the experience of visitors to one of Lucknow's prominent parks. The LDA plans to introduce a water-based light-and-sound show at the Gomti Riverfront as the river's water level recedes. The proposed attraction will use a water screen, advanced laser technology, projectors, lighting and sound systems to present Uttar Pradesh's history and Lucknow's rich Nawabi culture, art and heritage. The show aims to turn the Riverfront into a prominent cultural and recreational destination. The authority has also accelerated construction of a Green Corridor bridge connecting Baikunth Dham to a private school, with plans to open the route to traffic after completing the work. LDA vice-chairman Prathamesh Kumar inspected the three project sites on Saturday and directed officials to speed up construction, maintain quality and ensure regular monitoring to meet the stipulated deadlines. htc...
