LMC to launch projects worth Rs.413 cr today
LUCKNOW, May 26 -- The Lucknow Municipal Corporation (LMC) will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for 342 development projects worth around Rs.413 crore on Tuesday (May 26). The civic body will hold the programme at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan in the presence of chief minister Yogi Adityanath as the chief guest.
According to an LMC press release, deputy CMs Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, finance minister Suresh Khanna, urban development minister AK Sharma among others are also likely to take part in the event.
LMC officials said the programme will also highlight the civic body's achievements and development work undertaken during the past three years. They said focus areas were sanitation, environmental conservation, modern urban management and public services.
As per civic officials, Lucknow generates nearly 2,000 metric tonnes of waste daily and the Shivri plant scientifically processes it. The corporation claimed that authorities had already disposed of nearly 18.5 lakh metric tonnes of waste from the Shivri dump site....
