Lko gets 342 civic projects worth Rs.413 cr; roads, drainage in focus
LUCKNOW, May 27 -- Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday inaugurated and laid foundation stones for 342 development projects worth over Rs.413 crore in the state capital, with the Lucknow Municipal Corporation focusing on roads, drainage systems, public infrastructure and civic facilities across multiple wards.
Foundation stones were laid for 76 projects worth Rs.276.95 crore, while 266 projects worth Rs.136.12 crore were inaugurated.
The projects include road construction, drainage networks, community centres, urban public spaces and modern municipal facilities across the city. Several major works are aimed at strengthening urban infrastructure and improving public services.
Among the key proposals is a multi-purpose building on municipal land along Ayodhya Road near Kukrail river, featuring an urban plaza, digital library, book cafe, food court, rooftop restaurant and basement parking. Authorities also proposed constructing a new municipal headquarters in Gomti Nagar.
The project list includes gas-based crematorium facilities at Baikunth Dham, animal care and animal birth control centres, community halls and welfare centres, besides road and drainage works in residential colonies across Lucknow.
