Lko-Bangkok direct flight suspended from June 5
Lucknow, June 4 -- Direct air connectivity between Lucknow and Bangkok is set to be suspended from June 5, as airlines scale back operations citing fuel-related constraints amid global geopolitical tensions and supply pressures.
The Thai AirAsia-operated direct service, which currently runs between Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport here and Bangkok, will be withdrawn temporarily as part of wider operational adjustments, said an official of Thai Air Asia on the condition of anonymity.
At present, Flight FD-146 operates from Bangkok to Lucknow at 8:25 pm, arriving at 10:51 pm, while the return flight FD-147 departs Lucknow at 11:05 pm and reaches Bangkok at 3:38 am. These services will cease operations from June 5, airport sources confirmed.
Officials attributed the suspension to ongoing fuel-related constraints affecting international operations, reportedly influenced by global supply pressures linked to geopolitical tensions, including the Iran-US conflict.
However, security and customs officials noted that the Lucknow-Bangkok route had also been under close scrutiny in recent months due to repeated seizures of hydroponic cannabis....
