LUCKNOW, Sept. 17 -- The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) will light up Rashtra Prerna Sthal located in Basant Kunj, with around 2.25 lakh earthen lamps on September 17 to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday. The authority has allocated around Rs 35 lakh for arrangements related to the programme. The event is scheduled to begin at 7 pm on September 17, according to an official order issued for the programme. Chief minister Yogi Adityanath is expected to attend the event at the venue. The BJP has lined up a series of service-oriented programmes across Lucknow on Thursday under its 'Sewa Sankalp Abhiyan' to mark Modi's birthday. The party has also planned a mega Deepotsav at 10 locations. Apart from Rashtra Prerna Sthal, BJP state organisation general secretary Dharampal is expected to lead the Deepotsav at Jhulelal Vatika.
