Lansdowne locals seek bus links to towns
Haridwar, April 19 -- Ex-servicemen, traders, students and tourists have demanded restoration of direct bus services from Lansdowne to key towns, including district headquarters Pauri, Srinagar, Gwaldam and Gopeshwar in Chamoli district.
Local residents, through traders' bodies and ex-servicemen's organisations, have urged transport minister Pradeep Batra and Pauri district magistrate Swati S Bhadauriya to resume direct bus services from the cantonment town to Pauri and other important destinations such as Srinagar, Gopeshwar and Gwaldam.
