Lake View apartments project: LDA opens registration
LUCKNOW, May 19 -- The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has opened registration for its Rs 760-crore Lake View Apartments project in Viraj Khand-1, Gomti Nagar, marking the next step in the premium housing project that replaced the authority's proposed senior citizen housing scheme, according to an LDA press release on Monday.
The authority will begin accepting online applications from Tuesday (May 19) and continue the process till June 18. Officials said applicants can register only through the LDA website, while the authority will allot flats through a computerised lottery system.
The development comes days after HT reported on May 10 that the LDA had dropped its proposed senior citizen housing project after failing to attract private developers and decided instead to develop a large-scale high rise complex instead.
LDA vice-chairman Prathamesh Kumar said the authority designed the project to cater to the rising demand for housing in Gomti Nagar and nearby localities. He added that the project site falls in a prime area with connectivity to major city infrastructure, including Shaheed Path, Gomti Nagar Railway Station, Avadh Bus Station, hospitals, schools and commercial centres.
The Lake View apartments project will comprise three high-rise towers, each rising nearly 60 metres and having 19 floors. The residential complex will include 646 flats under the 3-BHK plus servant room category.
Officials said each apartment will have a super area of 2,340 square feet and cost around Rs 1.13 crore, which LDA claims remains lower than prices offered by private developers in the same region.
The authority will equip the housing complex with a swimming pool, clubhouse, landscaped park, children's play area, power backup facilities and parking.
CP Tripathi, additional secretary, LDA, said the authority plans to complete construction within three years and hand over possession within five years.
Applicants will have to deposit 5% of the flat cost as a registration amount, while applicants under reserved categories will need to deposit 2.5%. Buyers can pay the remaining amount through instalments over 36 months after allotment....
