La Martiniere Girls' College hosts 11th MUN edition
Lucknow, July 4 -- La Martiniere Girls' College on Friday inaugurated the 11th edition of the La Martiniere Girls' Model United Nations (LMGMUN), drawing more than 340 delegates from 35 schools across the country.
The three-day conference has participants from over 10 outstation schools, including Oasis School, Dehradun, Bishop Cotton School, Bengaluru, along with more than 15 local institutions such as CMS, La Martiniere College and Loreto Convent.
The opening ceremony began with the traditional lighting of the lamp by principal A. Dass, MUN coordinator Mrs Ambali and heads of departments.
Lieutenant Colonel Arnavaz Kersi Daruwalla, the first Parsi Zoroastrian woman to join the Indian Army, was the chief guest.
Addressing the delegates, she highlighted the responsibility that comes with participating in platforms such as Model United Nations and encouraged students to engage thoughtfully with global issues.
