KGMU urges police to removebarricades around mazar
LUCKNOW, March 6 -- The King George's Medical University (KGMU) administration has submitted a complaint letter at the Chowk police station over alleged fresh encroachment around a mazar (shrine) located behind the ophthalmology department near Gate No. 1, officials said in a statement issued on Thursday.
Some unidentified persons on Thursday erected bamboo barricades around the shrine, which it said was contrary to the intent of a court order and had effectively recreated an encroachment at the site. Acting proctor prof Reema Kumari urged the police to remove the barricades and prevent further encroachment. The letter also stated that the police had earlier removed encroachments around the same shrine in compliance with a court order....
