LUCKNOW, March 6 -- The King George's Medical University (KGMU) administration has submitted a complaint letter at the Chowk police station over alleged fresh encroachment around a mazar (shrine) located behind the ophthalmology department near Gate No. 1, officials said in a statement issued on Thursday. Some unidentified persons on Thursday erected bamboo barricades around the shrine, which it said was contrary to the intent of a court order and had effectively recreated an encroachment at the site. Acting proctor prof Reema Kumari urged the police to remove the barricades and prevent further encroachment.
