KGMU seeks help to reunite unidentified teen with family
LUCKNOW, May 7 -- An unidentified teenage boy, admitted to the King George's Medical University (KGMU) nearly 10 months ago, is still awaiting to be reunited with his family despite recovering from a critical head injury.
According to the doctors treating him, the boy was brought to the hospital on August 7, 2025, after he fell from a train in Barabanki.
He suffered severe head trauma and underwent surgery the following day.
While his condition has improved significantly, he is still unable to speak properly and cannot recall or communicate his address.
Dr BK Ojha, head of the neurosurgery department, said the boy is currently admitted to the ward on the fifth floor of Shatabdi Phase-II. "The boy is stable after surgery, but his inability to speak remains a major challenge," he said. The hospital has now contacted police and several NGOs to trace his family. Authorities are reaching out to nearby areas, particularly Barabanki and Banki, to identify the boy and reunite him with his family....
