Keralam bride-to-be invites Yogi to wedding
LUCKNOW, Oct. 18 -- A bride-to-be from Keralam has sent a handwritten, two-page wedding invitation to chief minister Yogi Adityanath, describing him as an elder brother and mentor whose journey inspired her to embrace emotional resilience.
According to a statement from the chief minister's office, the woman is scheduled to marry on December 20 in Aluva, Keralam. In her letter, she recalled how a video of Yogi Adityanath becoming emotional during an address changed her understanding of strength during childhood.
She wrote that she once considered shedding tears over small matters a personal flaw, influenced by peers who believed emotional restraint was essential to being strong.
Her perspective changed after her cousin showed her the video and advised her to draw inspiration from the chief minister, explaining that a person could be sensitive and yet strong.
"Whenever I doubt myself, your journey inspires me to keep moving forward," she wrote, adding that true strength lay not in suppressing emotions but in rising after a fall, facing challenges with conviction.
Addressing Yogi Adityanath as an elder brother, she wrote: "To me, you are much more than a leader. I have always seen you as an elder brother whose journey has given me courage and inspiration."
She said his presence at the wedding would be an honour, but a message conveying his blessings and good wishes would also be priceless....
