PATNA, Sept. 14 -- Justice Valluri Kameswar Rao was on Sunday sworn in as the 49th Chief Justice of the Patna High Court. Governor Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Syed Ata Hasnain administered the oath to Justice Rao at a ceremony held at Lok Bhavan in Patna. Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Choudhary, Bihar Legislative council several Awadhesh Narayan Sing, ministers, judges of the HC and senior officials were present on the occasion. The President of India had appointed Justice Rao as the Chief Justice of the Patna High Court, in exercise of powers conferred by the Constitution and in consultation with the Chief Justice of India. After the swearing in, the new Chief Justice of the Patna HC attended the 17th CNLU National Parliamentary Debate as his first event. As the Chief Justice of the Patna HC, he also happens to be the Chancellors of Chanakya Narional Law University (CNLU)....
