AGRA, Aug. 7 -- A joint team of the Government Railway Police (GRP) and the Railway Protection Force has left for Chennai to establish the missing links in the case and identify the person whose mutilated and partially decomposed remains were found in an unattended trolley bag inside the general coach of the Chennai-New Delhi Tamil Nadu Express at Agra Cantt railway station on Wednesday, officials said. "The joint team team from Agra has left for Chennai, while information about the recovery has been shared with the GRP and the civil police in Chennai to trace the missing links," Rajesh Dixit, deputy superintendent of police, Agra GRP, said. "We will wait for three days before sending the remains for post-mortem, in accordance with the procedure followed in cases involving unidentified bodies. The mention of Chennai on the wrapper in which the body parts were found will also be investigated in coordination with Chennai police," he added. GRP officials said they have very few leads at present, as the recovered body parts, including a severed foot and portions of torso, were badly decomposed, making identification difficult. Earlier, a passenger noticed blood seeping from a red trolley bag lying unattended in the rear section of the general coach. A foul smell emanating from the bag prompted the passenger to alert the railway helpline, following which the control room informed the GRP. The body was recovered after the train stopped at Agra Cantt railway station. Police are also collecting CCTV footage from railway stations between Chennai and Agra to determine where the trolley bag was brought on board the train and by whom. DNA profiling and other forensic examinations will also be carried out to establish the identity of the deceased, officials said....
