Lucknow, Oct. 2 -- Reliance Jio has once again strengthened its number one position in the UP-East telecom circle by recording the maximum wireless subscriber additions in August 2026. According to the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), the operator leads the circle with a subscriber base of 4.52 crore, a Jio press statement read on Thursday Jio holds a 40.35% share of the UP-East wireless market. It added the maximum - 2.65 lakh subscribers in UP-East in August 2026, ranking top among the operators in the circle. Jio is followed by Airtel with 4.18 crore subscribers, Vodafone-Idea with 1.66 crore and BSNL with about 84.77 lakh subscribers as of August 2026. In the Home Broadband segment too, Jio has consolidated its top position by registering maximum subscriber addition in 5G Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) segment.
