IRCTC introduces EMI option for Bharat Gaurav train tours
PRAYAGRAJ, July 10 -- Travellers planning a pilgrimage to South India, the four Jyotirlingas or the Statue of Unity can now book their journey without paying the entire amount upfront, as the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has introduced an EMI facility for two Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train packages.
Passengers can pay the tour cost in easy monthly installments ranging from nine months to three years. The Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train will be available for boarding at Prayagraj Sangam and will also pass through Pratapgarh, informed officials.
IRCTC-Lucknow joint general manager Vayu Nandan Shukla said here on Wednesday that the EMI option has been introduced to make pilgrimage travel easier and convenient. He added that passengers will be covered by travel insurance and provided with health check-ups and medicines, if required, during the journey. A total of 750 seats are available across the two tour packages.
The first Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train will operate from July 31 to August 11, 2026, on a 12-day South India pilgrimage. The itinerary includes visits to Tirupati Balaji, Rameswaram, the Meenakshi Temple in Madurai, Kanyakumari and the Mallikarjuna Jyotirlinga at Srisailam.
The second tour, scheduled from August 17 to 26, 2026, is a 10-day pilgrimage covering the Mahakaleshwar, Omkareshwar, Nageshwar and Somnath Jyotirlingas, along with Dwarkadhish Temple, Bet Dwarka and the Statue of Unity.
Both packages include travel in AC 2-tier, AC 3-tier and sleeper classes, vegetarian meals, local sightseeing by bus and accommodation....
