Internal fighting in ruling party stalling UP's growth: Ajay Rai
LUCKNOW, April 8 -- Uttar Pradesh Congress president Ajay Rai on Tuesday alleged that development in the state was suffering due to what he claimed 'the internal fighting within the Bharatiya Janata Party'.
"Discontent within the UP BJP, particularly against chief minister Yogi Adityanath, has reached its peak and this is evident from the fact that Yogi was sidelined during the party's foundation day event in state capital (on Monday). It is a proof of the internal discord," Rai claimed at a press conference here.
"While the state BJP chief, the deputy CM and various other ministers and ruling party leaders were present at the foundation day event, the CM was conspicuous by his absence. Despite being present within the state, he did not participate (in the programme)," he further claimed. "Other senior leaders and office-bearers who could not be physically present at the foundation day venue were connected via video conferencing and were even given the opportunity to speak," Rai claimed.htc...
