Sandeep Singh, minister for basic education, said the state government is committed to safeguarding the interests of teachers while simultaneously ensuring the smooth conduct of students' education, teacher availability in schools and important national duties such as the Census. Further, transfer applications will also be considered if a teacher or their unmarried son or daughter is suffering from cancer or undergoing dialysis. Special provisions have also been made for cases involving teacher couples. If both the husband and wife are employed in schools under the Basic Education Council, a transfer may be granted to a district with a greater requirement for teachers, while keeping the student-teacher ratio in mind. He said this approach will help establish a balance between family life and educational requirements....
