Influencer booked for honey-trap, blackmail in Sambhal
MEERUT, July 6 -- A social media influencer has been booked in Sambhal district for allegedly honey-trapping a man, recording his intimate photos and videos, and extorting money by threatening to make the material public and implicate him in a false molestation case.
The accused, identified as Arisha, a resident of Deepa Sarai in Sambhal, along with two named associates and several unidentified people, has been booked on charges of blackmail and extortion based on a complaint filed by a 22-year-old local resident. Police registered an FIR at Sambhal Kotwali police station at 2:55 am on Saturday and have launched an investigation in the matter.
According to the complainant, Shahrukh (22), a resident of Chaudhary Sarai who runs a fast-food outlet, he first met Arisha during a trip to Nainital about three years ago. They remained in regular contact and gradually developed a close relationship, during which Shahrukh alleged that Arisha secretly recorded his intimate photos and videos.
Shahrukh alleged that he later discovered Arisha was part of a racket that allegedly lured young men into relationships, recorded compromising photos and videos, and blackmailed them for money with the help of her associates.
He claimed the threats began after he ended contact with her....
