India-China trade via Lipulekh pass to resume on July 3 after 7 yrs
Pithoragarh, June 29 -- The first batch of Indian traders is likely to enter the Tibetan Autonomous Region of China through the Lipulekh Pass on July 3, with all preparations for the annual Indo-China border trade having been completed, officials and traders said.
President of the Bharat-China Seemant Vyapar Samiti Jeewan Singh Rongkali said the administration has allotted a new camping site, Chang Chung Nala, around 2 km ahead of Nabhidhang towards the Lipulekh Pass, to facilitate the movement of traders and pack animals.
"The administration has allocated us a new place named Chang Chung Nala, about 2 km ahead of Nabhidhang towards the Lipulekh Pass. The site has adequate space for mules and horses as well as resting facilities for their handlers," he said....
