Dehradun, Aug. 5 -- Researchers at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee have developed a process to convert renewable alcohols into complex organic molecules used in pharmaceuticals and advanced materials. According to a release by IIT Roorkee on Tuesday, the research, published in Nature Communications, demonstrates how biomass-derived alcohols and an earth-abundant nickel catalyst can be used to produce high-value chemicals.
