LUCKNOW, Oct. 13 -- The Indian Air Force's Sarang Helicopter Display Team will perform in Bareilly from October 13 to 17. The team is returning to the city for the first time since 2018. Students from schools and colleges, along with invited members of the civilian community, are expected to attend the displays. The team flies the indigenously designed and manufactured Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) Dhruv. It performs aerobatic manoeuvres that require precise coordination between pilots. Sarang is among the few military helicopter display teams in the world. Named after the peacock, the team is known for its brightly coloured helicopters. It has taken part in national and international air shows. Its performances showcase the capabilities of the Dhruv helicopter and the skills needed for close-formation flying. The Bareilly event will also give students an opportunity to observe military aviation at close quarters. They will be able to learn about aerospace technology and career opportunities in the armed forces....
