Bikaner, Sept. 1 -- A history-sheeter carrying a Rs.50,000 reward was among six men arrested in connection with an August 18 firing incident in Lakhuwali village of Hanumangarh district, police said on Monday. Hanumangarh SP B Adithya said the main accused, Irfan Khan, 32, had around 42 criminal cases registered against him. Police alleged that Irfan and his associates intercepted a vehicle, attacked it with sticks and fired at its occupants. Irfan and Priyankant alias Toney were arrested near Chak 22 NDR in the intervening night of August 30 and 31. Police subsequently arrested four alleged associates based on information obtained during their interrogation. Police seized six firearms and 10 live cartridges from the accused. Irfan and Priyankant were injured after allegedly falling from their motorcycle while attempting to escape and are undergoing treatment. Police had recently frozen properties worth more than Rs.3 crore allegedly acquired by Irfan's family through drug trafficking....
