hc reserves judgment in asaram's appeal in 2013 rape case
Jaipur, April 21 -- The Rajasthan high court on Monday reserved judgment on self-styled godman Asaram's appeal against his life sentence for raping a minor girl in 2013, wrapping up marathon hearings ordered by the Supreme Court of India for swift disposal.
A division bench of justice Arun Monga and justice Yogendra Kumar Purohit heard final arguments from both sides before reserving the matter. Senior advocate Devadatt Kamat represented the appellant, while additional advocate general Deepak Choudhary presented the state's case and advocate P. C. Solanki appeared for the victim.
