Agra, April 5 -- Following a brawl while drinking alcohol, a lawyer allegedly killed his companion late on Friday night in Hathras. The deceased Anurag Jyoti is an RTI activist who had allegedly been abandoned by his family due to his alcohol addiction and was residing in a shelter home in Hathras. The murder took place at the lawyer's residence. The Hathras police took the lawyer into custody and sent the body for a post-mortem examination, said DSP Hathras City Yogendra Krishna Narayan on Saturday. "Both the lawyer, Tarun Sharma, and his friend, an RTI activist named Anurag Jyoti, were having drinks at the lawyer's residence in Vivekanand Nagar of Hathras city on Friday night. The drinking continued late into the night, but they appear to have gotten into a verbal exchange over some issue," informed DSP Hathras City Yogendra Krishna Narayan....
